US plane maker Boeing has asked airlines around the world to ground some of its 777 jets after the engine on one aircraft partially disintegrated in mid-air over Denver on Saturday.
More than 100 Boeing 777 aircraft with Pratt & Whitney engines have been pulled out of service.
An investigation is under way into the causes of the incident.
Al Jazeera’s John Hendren reports from Chicago, in the US, where Boeing is based.
