Black, lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans history is being told through a collection of thousands of items as part of the rukus! Collection at London Metropolitan Archives.

The relatively untold story of being black and LGBTQ in Britain is being brought to life through diaries, photos, and flyers from people including activists, DJs, and club promoters.

The LMA spent two years categorising all the items – which date from 1976 to 2010 – the first of its kind to be held there and the first of its kind in Europe.
