Millie Burgess became Ontario's first Black teacher in 1957 after growing up in Bermuda. Now at age 99, she's being recognized for her trailblazing career as part of Black History Month.
While she faced challenges during her time in the classroom, she became friends with many of the parents of the kids she taught.
