A lawsuit was filed against Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday, just hours after he published a controversial post on social media that turned out to be fraudulent. Sections 153 A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language), 295A (Deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion), 465 (forgery), and 505 (punishment on the statement which creates or promotes enmity, hatred, or ill-will between classes) of the Indian Penal Code were used to charge the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (IPC).
