A lawsuit was filed against Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday, just hours after he published a controversial post on social media that turned out to be fraudulent. Sections 153 A (Promoting enmity between different groups on the basis of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language), 295A (Deliberate and malicious conduct, intended to outrage religious emotions of any class by insulting its religion), 465 (forgery), and 505 (penalty on the remark which generates or promotes enmity, hostility, or ill-will between classes) of the Indian Penal Code were used to charge the former Chief Minister of Madh.
