U.S. President Joe Biden took part in the annual turkey pardoning event at the White House in which he pardoned two giant turkeys “Liberty" and “Bell,” who were granted freedom from Thanksgiving dinner tables as Americans prepared for their annual feasts.
“This is the 76th anniversary of this event. And I want you to know I wasn’t there for the first event,” Biden joked as he celebrated his 81st birthday on Monday.
Biden said “yes,” when asked Monday if he believes a deal with Hamas was nearing to release Israeli hostages taken during a surprise attack on Israel on Oct. 7.
