Biden delivers remarks at inaugural ceremony of Summit of the Americas | FULL

U.S. President Joe Biden delivered remarks during the opening ceremony of the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday night.

Biden is hosting leaders from across the Western Hemisphere at this event, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who will be at the ceremony with his wife Sophie Gregoire.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador however will not be attending because “not all the countries of America are invited.” The U.S. has not invited the leaders of Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba to attend.

Migration has taken centre stage at an assembly of Western Hemisphere leaders, reflecting its emergence as a top foreign policy issue.
