Bed bug on Toronto public transit possibly caught on viral video

Bed bugs have been going viral — in more ways than one. A few weeks ago, social media was buzzing as they infested Paris Fashion Week in France.

Now in Toronto, TTC riders are shocked and horrified after a viral TikTok video reportedly caught a bed bug crawling on the public transit seats. Riders say that the video showcases the TTC has failed to keep transit safe and clean.

In a statement to Global News, TTC said they clean the vehicles every night and that bed bugs are sometimes a global challenge. If spotted, the public transportation agency also said they clean the car immediately.
