The last lunar eclipse of the year was visible to Canadians during the predawn hours of Tuesday, Nov. 8. The 'Beaver blood moon' was the last total lunar eclipse until 2025, with the earth, moon and sun all perfectly aligned with its reddish hue.

According to the website Almanac.com, it’s called a Beaver Moon because it happens during the month when beavers begin taking shelter in their lodges.
