BC storm puts further strain on already-crunched supply chain

Amid the global supply chain crisis, the extreme weather that pummeled British Columbia has washed out rail lines and cut off the Port of Vancouver from the rest of the country.

CN and CP rail lines were also washed out in the disaster. Ottawa announced Wednesday the Canadian Armed Forces will be sent to B.C. to help, though it's unclear when the railways will be repaired.
