A Tsawwassen, B.C., man says he could have died waiting for an ambulance after suffering a stroke.
Layne French, 36, was driving 80 km/h through Metro Vancouver's Massey Tunnel on March 13 when the stroke happened.
He managed to get through the tunnel, pull over and called 9-1-1.
Time is critical in stroke treatment but nine hours elapsed before he finally saw a doctor.
