B.C. Transportation Minister Rob Fleming announced Tuesday that the Coquihalla Highway would reopen to regular traffic on Wednesday, after the devastating flooding in November.

Fleming said, however, that some sections of the highway were down to two lanes and that electric vehicle charging stations were closed because of damage from the storms.

The province also announced Tuesday that the province’s state of emergency put in place in the wake of the storms and subsequent flooding would end at 12 a.m. on Jan. 19.

Several avalanches to the south have also trapped communities in between.
