BBC journalist Martin Bashir ‘deceitful’ in securing Princess Diana interview

A report into how BBC journalist Martin Bashir secured the Panorama interview with Princess Diana in 1995 has concluded that he was “deceitful” in his dealings with her.

Lord Dyson’s investigation found the journalist had acted “inappropriately” and was in “serious breach” of BBC guidelines by using fake bank statements to help set up the interview.
