BBC faces 'serious questions' about rehiring Martin Bashir

Lord Dyson's report found that Martin Bashir used forged documents to leverage the support of Earl Spencer and gain the trust of Princess Diana. It also exposes the tangled web of BBC staff who knew of the allegations against Mr Bashir.

One of those people whose career was affected was the graphic designer, Matt Wiessler, who forged the documents for the reporter and warned management about it. He told Sky News that senior managers had "turned their back" on him, because he was "pointing out the flaw" in what they'd done.
