The supermarket chain, Iceland, has told Sky News it is "committed to making no money out of baby formula", as Danone announces it will reduce the price it sells the product to retailers by 7%.
A recent Sky News investigation found parents resorting to stealing baby milk, buying on the black market, watering down feeds and substituting formula for condensed milk.
Richard Walker, Iceland's Managing Director, said he had heard some "heart-breaking stories" from young mothers due to the high increase in the prices of formula milk.
He said it would be "great" if other brands followed Danone and there was a need for them to "recognise" the cost of living crisis.
