Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison visited Queen Elizabeth II during his visit to the U.K., where he and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a free trade deal on Tuesday.

The British government hailed the agreement as an important step in building new trade relationships and is the first negotiation following its departure from the European Union.

"I think this is important economically, there's no question about that ... but I think it's more important politically and symbolically," Johnson said. "We're opening up to each other and this is the prelude to a general campaign of opening up around the world."

During his visit to Windsor Castle, Morrison, who attended the three-day meeting from Saturday as an invitee of the G7 nations, said "everyone was talking" about the Queen after she met the leaders for dinner last Friday.
