Aid agencies say the health systems in Syria's rebel-controlled areas are devastated, a warning that coincides with the 10-year anniversary of the country's civil war.
A survey by the International Rescue Committee showed the risks health workers and civilians faced over the past decade: 81 percent said they had a co-worker or patient injured or killed, 77 percent witnessed about four attacks on healthcare facilities, and 68 percent were inside a health facility when it was attacked.
Hundreds of air raids by Syrian government and Russian warplanes have been documented throughout the years of conflict, they have compromised the healthcare system and its ability to respond to the needs of millions of Syrians
Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports from Beirut, Lebanon.
