Tomorrow the world's largest election kicks off. In India, a billion voters at a million polling stations will spend the next seven weeks deciding their future, with a winner announced in June.

While the Indian government claims it has overseen an economic and tech miracle - critics point out the country has slid down every global human rights and democracy index.

With nearly two million people of Indian descent living in the UK, we have an exclusive survey commissioned by the Platform for Indian Democracy which for the first time tests how Indians here feel about politics in India.
