India is projected to overtake China as the world's most populous country by the middle of 2023, primarily due to India's birth rate significantly outpacing China's.
The two countries make up over a third of the Earth's people. With the planet’s total population being over 8,000,000,000, 44 per cent of women in the world are unable to exercise bodily autonomy, according to the United Nations Population Fund.
