1. The U.S. Senate should wrap up debate over U.S. Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson, clearing the way for a final vote on her confirmation, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said.

2. More than 100,000 people still need to be evacuated urgently from Mariupol, Mayor Vadym Boichenko said, describing the situation in the Russian-besieged Ukrainian port city as a humanitarian catastrophe.
