Analysis: Zelenskyy visits Scholz in Berlin, receives military honors | DW News

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Berlin for his first visit since Russia invaded his country last year. Zelenskyy announced his arrival on social media - shortly after his plane touched down in the German capital late last night. Details of the trip have been kept secret for security reasons.

Zelenskyy's last stop before Berlin was in Italy. It was his first trip to Rome and the Vatican since the war broke out. While in the Italian capital, he received assurances of aid and support from politicians as well as the Pope.

Zelenskyy met German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at his residence in Berlin. Zelensky arrived in the German captital late last night.  Details of the trip have been kept secret for security reasons.
