Alzheimer's: Early hopes for slowing the disease with Donanemab

A new drug has been hailed as a turning point in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

Phase 3 clinical trials of Donanemab have shown that the drug can slow down cognitive decline by up to 35%, but only if the disease is detected early on in its course.

Questions remain though over whether the NHS can provide detection of the condition early enough to be effective, as Jessica Tobin from Alzheimer's Research UK told Sky News.
