Reinforcements from Uganda are arriving in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, on the fourth day of a joint operation against rebel forces called the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
Air and artillery strikes have been launched against the armed group that Uganda blames for three suicide bombings in its capital last month.
Accused of killing thousands of civilians, they have mostly carried out attacks in the North Kivu region of the DRC.
