A year after the Taliban takeover, Afghanistan has spiraled into one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. The UN says up to 25 million Afghans are living in poverty, with children are the most vulnerable and at risk of malnutrition. UNICEF has received only 40 percent of its funding appeal for this year.
