Afghan interpreter begs IRCC to speed up processing

It's one month since the Taliban took full control of Kabul airport, following the end of the huge military airlift operation. Canadian aircraft helped 3,700 people to leave, but hundreds of Canadian citizens or permanent residents were left behind. Thousands of Afghans remain in Taliban-controlled Kabul.

They are awaiting word from Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in safe houses. Redmond Shannon spoke to a Canada-bound Afghan interpreter about his fears for those still waiting in Afghanistan, in danger.
