A look inside Russia's "troll factory" behind disinformation campaign against Ukraine

When Russia invaded Ukraine in late February, it also launched a parallel propaganda war to try and blur the lines of what was happening on the ground, in an effort to divide the world about the truth.

In a look inside of the Russian disinformation machine, Global News obtained an exclusive interview with a Russian journalist who went undercover inside a modern-day "troll factory" that was set up to help sow misinformation online about the Russian war effort.

Her story offers a deep dive into interesting insights and details into how the misinformation is targeted. A leading Russian TV host and propagandist, as well as a Canadian veteran who fought in Ukraine and became a second victim of a Russian disinformation campaign, also offered their views.
