Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru, the chief pontiff of Murugha Math in Karnataka, has been charged under the  Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) for alleged sexual abuse of high school girls. 80 girls from the seer's mutt have been moved out by the child welfare department.
