6 Service Ontario centres move into Staples retail stores

On Monday, Todd McCarthy, the minister of public and business service delivery, announced that the Ontario government has decided to move six Service Ontario locations into Staples Canada retail stores, starting from Thursday.

He also said three more Service Ontario centres will open inside Staples later this year, totalling nine locations.

The move is expected to result in savings of close to $1M over the next three years, according to Business Service Delivery Minister Todd McCarthy.

“We believe in putting the customer first. So when it comes to costs, not only is there close to $1M in savings over the next three years, but it's an investment in the people of Ontario, in the convenience of excellent and accessible customer service,” McCarthy said.
