RCMP is investigating after 17 wild horses were shot and killed in the B.C. Interior.

According to police, Tk'emlups Rural RCMP had received a report of several horses killed on Crown land around an hour west of Kamloops. Police added it's acknowledged that these horses are of cultural significance to the local Skeetchestn Band.

As Julie Nolin reports, wild horse advocates in B.C. are reeling after the shooting, with some calling it a heinous act and many asking questions why it happened.
