One person died, and five others were wounded, following an alleged “terror attack” at an Istanbul courthouse on Tuesday.

The two assailants, a man and a woman — reportedly part of the leftist DHKP-C militant group — were shot dead by authorities shortly after the attack, according to Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan.

“We will continue our fight against all terror organizations and their supporters without any discrimination,” Erdogan said during a press conference on Tuesday, after congratulating the officers who neutralized the suspects and “eliminated” further threat.

“Two terrorists were shot outside. There was a big panic, it was quite tense,” eyewitness Banu Polat said on Tuesday, recounting the assault. “Everybody laid down [and] — police arrived.”

Among the injured were three police officers. The victim who died succumbed to their injuries shortly after the attack. An investigation is ongoing.
