Rep. Justin Jones, one of the two Black Democratic lawmakers expelled from the Tennessee state legislature after participating in gun control demonstrations, has now been reinstated.

Justin Pearson is expected to be reappointed to his old job in the coming days, too.

And as Global's Jennifer Johnson explains, many are speculating that the dismissal has more to do with the men's skin colour than their role in the protests.
