On Thursday, an Israeli airstrike hit several buildings in a refugee camp in Gaza’s Khan Younis, according to Reuters. Palestinians could be seen rushing to the scene to pull out survivors and dead bodies.

“We want to live beautiful lives, not rockets hitting our heads. The building fell on our heads,” Palestinian child Raghd Kilany said.

Israel has carried out weeks of intense bombardment on the densely populated Strip following the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israeli communities, which it says killed some 1,400 people. Gaza's health ministry said on Wednesday that more than 6,500 Palestinians had been killed in the airstrikes since then.
