Hundreds gathered in Mexico and Venezuela to watch re-enactments of Jesus’ last days, marking his crucifixion and resurrection.

The “Way of the Cross” returned to Mexico City on Friday in full force, after facing COVID-19 restrictions in years prior.

In Venezuela, the ritual was held in one of the poorest neighbourhoods in Venezuela’s capital of Caracas on Friday.
