Churchgoers at London’s St. Mary’s Church of the Battersea sung “God Save the King” for the first time in over 70 years on Sunday following the accession of King Charles III a day earlier as the country’s new monarch.

For the seven decades Queen Elizabeth II ruled, Britain’s national anthem was “God Save the Queen.”

Charles III was designated as the new King following the death of his mother on Sept. 8 at the age of 96.

The funeral for Queen Elizabeth II will be held at Westminster Abbey on Sept. 19.
