On the first full day of the new era of the monarchy, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla arrived at the gates of Buckingham Palace, shaking hands with hundreds of visitors from across the country.

People were visibly emotional as the new monarch greeted long lines of admirers on this historic day, with one woman even kissing his hand and many breaking out into song for “God Save the King.”

Redmond Shannon looks at how people are paying tribute to Her Majesty, what the late monarch means to them and how they're honouring their new sovereign, King Charles III.
