At question period on Tuesday, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre discussed what he calls “The Prime Minister’s billion-dollar green slush fund (Sustainable Development Technologies Canada) scandal."

Conservative MP Michael Barrett commented that a committee on Monday saw “explosive testimony by a whistleblower on (Trudeau’s) "green slush fund" that has seen $150 million misappropriated and gone to Liberal insiders.”

Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne froze the activities of STDC (Sustainable Development Technologies Canada) in early October after numerous whistleblower complaints.

“We suspended the funding of the organization, we called for an investigation, leadership has resigned — we’ll get to the bottom of this,” Champagne vowed.
