Assam Gov Campaign Against Child Marriage: असम में बाल विवाह पर बड़े पैमाने पर कार्रवाई की गई. पुलिस ने शुक्रवार (3 फरवरी) को अवैध करार दी गई इस तरह की शादियां करवाने वाले हिंदू और मुस्लिम पुजारियों सहित 2,044 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया. असम पुलिस के मुताबिक उनके पास इस मामले में पास 8,000 आरोपियों की सूची है. राज्य में आगे भी ये अभियान जारी रहेगा. समाचार एजेंसी पीटीआई के मुताबिक सरकार के इस कदम का वहां विभिन्न जिलों में महिलाएं खासा विरोध कर रही है.
