World reacts after assassination attempt of Donald Trump

Former US president Donald Trump was shot at while speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania and taken to hospital. In the moments after the shooting, Trump was swarmed by security agents and he quickly emerged to pump his fist and mouth the words "fight, fight, fight".

The FBI has confirmed the shooting was an assassination attempt and the alleged gunman, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed.

One audience member died and two others have been critically injured
