Time is running out for video-sharing app TikTok - or at least for the more than 100 million users in the US. The app is owned by a Chinese company, and law enforcement experts say the app not only could, but is likely to be used by Beijing to spy on US citizens - and worse, on government officials. That is why earlier this week, the US had already banned the use of TikTok on government mobile phones. Canada, the European Parliament and the EU Commission announced similar bans on their employees.
