As he inherits his late mother's duties, King Charles III will now have to step away from his decades of activism work, including his climate-focused campaigns.

The 73-year-old dedicated much of his time as Britain's longest serving heir to environmental activism — from planting trees, to building carbon-neutral homes, to giving fiery speeches — even if some of his actions sparked controversy.
