There's an open letter signed by more than 1,000 artificial intelligence (AI) and tech leaders, including Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak, demanding a six-month pause in AI development. The letter is calling for global discussions on societal and existential risks, or perhaps to have a framework put in place.

As Anne Gaviola and The Peak podcast's Brett Chang discuss, some people say the pause is useless, while others feel it's not long enough.

Plus, Dogecoin cryptocurrency prices are spiking. This comes after Musk swapped out Twitter's bird logo with a Shiba Inu dog (the face of the "doge" internet meme).

And Gaviola and Chang chat about the debate and confusion over Twitter's verification policy.
