Why Nicaragua is dragging Germany before the International Court of Justice | DW News

Hearings began today at the International Court of Justice in the Hague where Nicaragua is claiming that Germany is "facilitating the commission of genocide" in the Gaza Strip. Nicaragua is arguing that Germany is breaching international law by supplying weapons to Israel for its military campaign against Hamas. Germany has rejected Nicaragua's accusations. Israel has also repeatedly denied committing genocide or war crimes in its response to Hamas' October 7th terrorist attacks.
