U.S. President has ordered the Pentagon to remove some military assets and forces from the Gulf, according to the Wall Street Journal.
At least three Patriot anti-missile batteries have reportedly been withdrawn.
Joe Biden has pledged to recalibrate U.S.-Saudi ties since taking office, including freezing the sale of some weapons Riyadh uses in the war in Yemen. But his administration also says it doesn't want to destroy the relationship. It says it will still continue to help the kingdom defend itself.
