It’s one of aviation’s most baffling disappearances: more than 150 Chinese passengers were on board the ill-fated Malaysia Airlines flight 370 when it took off from Kuala Lumpur bound for Beijing on March 8th, 2014. It never completed its journey, disappearing somewhere over the southern Indian Ocean. To this day no one knows where or why. On Monday a Beijing court began compensation hearings for relatives of the people aboard the missing airliner.
