According to details, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated Abdul Qayyum Niazi for premiership while united opposition has provided the name of Chaudhry Latif.

سردارعبدالقیوم نیازی ایل اے 18 عباس پور سے منتخب ہوئے، ان کا تعلق ضلع پونچھ کی تحصیل عباس پور سے ہے۔ عبدالقیوم نیازی اس سے پہلے وزیر خوراک رہ چکے ہیں۔ وہ 2006 میں مسلم کانفرنس کے پلیٹ فارم سے کامیاب ہوئے۔ عبدالقیوم نیازی 2 سال پہلے مسلم کانفرنس چھوڑ کر پی ٹی آئی میں شامل ہوئے۔

ادھر وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات فواد چودھری نے سماجی رابطے کی ویب سائٹ پر ٹویٹ کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ طویل مشاورت کے بعد وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے نومنتخب ایم ایل اے قیوم نیازی کو وزیر اعظم آزاد کشمیر کے عہدے کیلئے نامزد کیا ہے، قیوم نیازی ایک متحرک اور حقیقی سیاسی کارکن ہیں، جن کا دل کارکنوں کے ساتھ دھڑکتا ہے۔

وزیراعظم آزاد کشمیر کا انتخاب آج ہوگا، ووٹنگ دو بجے شیڈول ہے۔ 53 رکنی ایوان میں پاکستان تحریک انصاف کو 32 نشستوں کے ساتھ اکثریت حاصل ہے۔

Azad Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly is all set to meet today (Wednesday) to elect its Prime Minister.

According to details, the voting for the premier election will start at 2:00pm.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) nominees Anwar-ul-Haq and Riaz Gujjar had become Speaker and Deputy Speaker of AJK Legislative Assembly.

During the session, Anwar-ul-Haq grabbed 32 votes and defeated opposition parties’ Faisal Rathore on speaker position. PTI’s Chaudhry Riaz Gujjar got 32 votes for deputy speaker post while Nisara Abbasi of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) got 15 votes.

Outgoing speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir also administered the oath to the newly-elected members of AJK Legislative Assembly.

It is to be mentioned here that PTI emerged as the largest political party in Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly in the recently-held elections on July 25. The party will form a government in the region as it has managed to secure a total number of 32 seats (including reserved seats).

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won 12 seats while PML-N grabbed seven seats in the AJKLA.
