While everyone's focused on COVID-19 vaccines, what about a cure or treatment for those infected with coronavirus or those of us who could still catch it? Especially as a second or third wave crests in many countries.
Hospitals have a small arsenal of treatments against Covid: Remdesivir, despite reservations by the WHO, has its place, as do cortisone and other corticosteroids and antibody therapy. However all these substances have to be given early in the course of the disease, otherwise they may be counterproductive.
