One year ago today, the UK's first victim of COVID-19 passed away.

But 84 year-old Peter Attwood's death wasn't attributed to coronavirus until seven months later.
He was admitted to hospital with classic COVID-19 symptoms just before Christmas in 2019, raising questions about when the virus first came into circulation in the UK.
