Wiped out by Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023, the kumara industry in Dargaville appears to have made a miraculous recovery.

Most of the area’s crops were swallowed in rising floodwaters, a level of devastation not seen in the industry in over a hundred years.

Growers say we can expect to have Kumara coming out of our ears come summer, and they’ve got good news about how much it’ll cost too.
