The theft of vehicles in Canada shows no signs of slowing down, even as lawmakers look for solutions but some Canadians say they're facing various costs as they wait to see if their car may be recovered.

From rising insurance premiums to still making payments on a leased and now missing car, there are costs some people may not know about even if they're no longer behind the wheel of their own vehicle.
