The push to get COVID-19 vaccines in arms ramped up across the Greater Toronto Area on Saturday, with clinics taking place at the Toronto Zoo, The Aga Khan Museum and even overnight in Mississauga, Ont.

As Katherine Ward reports, some medical experts say the percentage of people vaccinated is not the only metric to be considered when it comes to reopening the economy.

Ontario reported 2,584 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 507,117. For comparison, last Saturday 2,864 cases were reported.

Twenty-four new deaths were also announced, bringing the provincial death toll to 8,455.

A total of 471,096 COVID-19 cases are considered resolved, which is up by 3,063 and is 92.9 per cent of all confirmed cases.
